The best of 2020: THE LAST DANCE

This year has been very strange. Coronavirus has changed our way of life, our habits, our way of socialize, the form we see the world...

Speaking about cinema and TV, 2020 has been a bad year, many movies and series had been delayed for a long time. But if I had to choose one of all the few works released this year, I would say The Last Dance.

It is a documentary series produced in colaboration between Netflix and ESPN. It was released during the quarantine, two episodes per week, eight altogether. The documentary is about the Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls team during the 90's about the last season of coach Phil Jackson, but it go over the whole career of Michael Jordan, speaking about his 6 NBA titles.

Each episode it's about a personality of the team; Phil Jackson, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and obiously MJ. The series is in documentary format, with many interviews to important and famous people of the world of basketball as journalists, coaches, players...

The series make you feel the emotion of the game, the wins, the players... For people like me, who didn't live in the 90's, this documentary explains very well that time, the Bulls phenomenon and the NBA expansion through the whole world. For those people who lived that time, it is a way to remember that amazing epoch, the epoch of the invincible Chicago Bulls.

Without any doubt, my favourite audiovisual piece of 2020.
